April Supporting Bike shops: Highland Cycles, Grafton City Cycles, Yamba Extreme Cycle and Skate. This is the second year of the Tour and it's going to be bigger than last.. although it is still in it's infancy the support keeps coming. Our major Sponsors This year will also see the first Big River Ride that goes for the week
1st May to 7th of May 20211, this has been organised by the Friday riding group Cafe' de Wheels headed by Harriet Woodrow ( check out their page)
On the day information.There are two start points: The main one for the 40k ;loop is on the common green, Woodford side of the McFarlane bridge, late registrations can register from 7:00am on the morning.and a number issued to attach to the front of your bike. Official start time 8:30am (turn left of the bridge to go to the car parking area) Second Start area for the 20k ride is from the Brushgrove sporting ground Late registrations From 7:30am on the morning and a number issued to attach to the front of your bike. Official star time 9:00 am Cost: Entry $20.00 per rider or $50.00 a family.( all profits go to Rotary charities)
(On the line for the start- 2011 the start time is 8:30am) It's not a race but for the first Tour some of the riders wanted to see how fast a time they went around the Island ( Best for 2008 1hr:08min). The more sedate riders were a bit more casual enjoying a morning ride, weather starting from the official start at McFarlane bridge for the 40k loop or from Brushgrove 20k, it didn't matter where you started all of the riders agreed it was a great morning, the last rider coming in at 10:45am.
